About Us
Yuet Wan London is a non-profit cultural association dedicated to preserving and sharing the living art of Cantonese opera and music in the United Kingdom.
Cantonese opera — 粵劇 — is a UNESCO-recognised art form that weaves together song, music, movement and storytelling refined over centuries in the Lingnan region of southern China.
Through performances, workshops and community events, we bring artists and audiences together — supporting practitioners in the UK while introducing new audiences to its beauty.
Staging full Cantonese opera productions and music evenings with live ensemble accompaniment.
Hands-on sessions in singing, movement and percussion for newcomers and enthusiasts of all ages.
Talks, demonstrations and cultural exchanges that connect the heritage with new generations in the UK.
Our story
In September 2025 we presented our inaugural showcase at the Shaw Theatre in London: a thirteen-segment programme of classic Cantonese opera excerpts and music, performed by visiting and UK-based artists.
Whether you'd like to perform, learn, volunteer or support — we'd love to hear from you.
